Apple smoked crispy cooked with sunny up crispy bottoms on the eggs and rye toast YEP I LOVE BACON In 1539, Hernando de Soto brought 13 pigs to the Americas and within 3 years he had a herd of them that was 700 strong. Which is probably why he’s credited as being the father of the American pork industry. Over the years, the popularity of bacon continued to grow. Today, it is one of the most popular food items on the planet. 2018 National Bacon Day December 30 (Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

Ah bacon! Love that stuff. Too bad about the cancer and heart disease stuff... Still we all gotta go eventually.

Bacon Candy 10 thick-cut bacon slices (about 10 ounces) 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar, divided 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper, divided Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack coated with cooking spray inside prepared baking sheet. Arrange bacon slices in a single layer on rack, leaving a little space between slices. Sprinkle evenly with 6 tablespoons of the brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of the pepper. Bake in preheated oven 20 minutes. Remove baking sheet from oven, and carefully turn bacon slices. Sprinkle evenly with remaining 6 tablespoons brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Return to oven, and bake until crisp and just beginning to darken, 18 to 22 minutes. (Don’t be afraid to push the time. Even if the bacon slices burn a little bit on the tips, the sugary, fatty goodness will counteract any bitterness.) Let stand 15 minutes- store in a glass jar (Virtual Symposium Group) use Virtual Symposium Group

About a year ago, I gave up beef and pork...and the only thing I miss is bacon, lol. Love the smell of it. When I used to eat it, I liked it crispy. "Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax." – Mark Black
