Oxford city of smiles.
Oxford city of smiles. Two weeks ago I had to go to Oxford and what a contrast to London. When I stepped off the train at 7.a.m complete strangers were saying good morning and hello. Oxford seems a really friendly place. Even in the shops they are helpful. It was nice going a long the alleyways where the universities are and seeing the walled gardens.I also climbed a 11th century church tower in the centre of town it overlooked all the chimneys, spires and hills. You could also hear music from down below from the buskers in the high street. When I was at my parents house, it was a rainy Sunday afternoon and I got my old record player out, from my bedroom upstairs,(I felt as if I was going back to when I was a , listening to records, especially the 80s stuff suchas Japan, Visage Orchestral manouveres in the dark, Siouxie and the Banshees in my bedroom) and played Nina Simone my baby just cares for me in 7 ins vinyl it crackled a little, but It was nice listening to an old record whilst the rain was splashing down onto the window payne. |
